Estranged ex-husband arrested in fatal stabbing of Bronx woman

MORRISANIA, Bronx (WABC) -- Police have arrested the estranged ex-husband of a woman who was repeatedly stabbed on a Bronx street.

50-year-old Victor Garo is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Eyewitnesses said they saw him arguing with the woman, 44-year-old Adalgisa DeGaro, and then stabbing her.

It happened Monday morning at the corner of Home Street and Jackson Avenue in the Morrisania section.

Paramedics performed CPR on the woman but she died.
