KIRKWOOD, Missouri (WABC) -- A group of bystanders are heroes after they saved a man in a wheelchair whose chair was trapped on train tracks.

The heroics of the group..were captured on camera.

Julie Flanders and her brother Chandler were stopped at a train crossing in Missouri this week when they noticed a woman running towards the tracks.

She was rushing towards a man in a wheelchair and his wife who was trying to push him.

"Me and my brother jumped out of the car and just kind of ran over to help and do whatever we could," said Julie.

The siblings jumped in to help - pulling the man off the tracks - seconds before a train came through.

Julie and Chandler say the woman who ran over first trying to help is the true hero.
