Police are searching for the driver who struck an NYPD recruit.

An NYPD recruit was struck by a hit and run vehicle near the Police Academy in Queens Monday morning, authorities said.

The 35-year-old woman was struck at 28th Avenue and Ulmer Street in College Point just before 6:30 a.m.

She was conscious and alert, and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Detectives believe the recruit was struck and dragged 200 to 300 feet by a garbage truck.

The driver may not have known he struck the woman.
