Derick Waller has more on the search for the man who toppled a church statue twice in Brooklyn.

Police are searching for a shirtless man who vandalized a church statue in Brooklyn not once - but twice.

The man knocked over the effigy of St. Francis at Blessed Sacrament Church in Cypress Hill on Halloween evening and again on November 11th.

Father Luis Laverde says the vandalism that happened at the church on Euclid Avenue was no feat of strength.

Parishioners at the church do not seem to recognize the suspect.

Blessed Sacrament is known for leaving their doors open most hours of the day - the risk? That someone takes advantage.

"Hopefully they get the guy and put him in a psych ward or get him arrested or get him the help that he needs," says parishioner John Schretzman.

The area surrounding the church is heavily populated, and police are hoping that anyone who knows the man will come forward and give them a call.
