MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Three people were hurt after fire broke out on the roof of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan Monday.
Smoke could be seen coming from the Fifth Avenue building just after 7 a.m.
Here's video showing the dark smoke billow from the top of the tower:
FDNY officials said the small fire started in a heating and cooling unit.
A firefighter suffered a minor injury when debris fell on him. Two civilians also suffered some minor smoke inhalation, but refused medical attention.
Fire officials said the fire was contained to the roof and never entered the building.
President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, took to Twitter to thank first responders.
The building was not evacuated during the ordeal.
Trump Tower, located at 721 Fifth Avenue, is home to President Trump's family and is protected by Secret Service.
