United Airlines flight from Newark suffers blown tire on way to Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon (WABC) -- A United Airlines flight that originated in New Jersey was forced to land with a blown out tire in Portland, Oregon.

United Airlines says the plane suffered a tire blowout when it was taking off at Newark Liberty International Airport Sunday night.

Emergency crews were on hand, but fortunately the plane landed safely with no reports of injuries.
