NEW YORK (WABC) -- It was a day of giving at Citi Field on Wednesday as the New York Mets worked with Bloomberg and the USO of Metropolitan New York to give out 750 bikes to the children of active military members.

Mets pitchers Jenrry Mejia and Jeurys Familia were on hand to present the bikes after their busy day of playing Santa Claus and an elf respectively yesterday at the team's annual holiday party.

The bikes were assembled by 450 volunteers last week at Citi Field with help from manager Terry Collins.

This event was a part of Operation That's My Ride, an ongoing program by the USO to help spread cheer to the children of military families during military appreciation events and throughout the holidays.
