6 homeless after 2-alarm fire tears through Paterson home

Fire tears through a home in Paterson, N.J.
No one was hurt but hurt in the New Jersey fire overnight.

PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) -- A two-alarm fire burned through a home in New Jersey Thursday night, leaving six people homeless.

Heavy flames shot through the home on 10th Avenue in Paterson just before 10:30 p.m.

Firefighters were forced to climb to the second story to get the blaze under control, and it took more than an hour for the fire to be extinguished.

The six residents of the home were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
