7-year-old boy saved after nearly drowning at Orchard Beach in the Bronx
According to the NYPD, the boy was not breathing when he was pulled from the water, but he was quickly revived and breathing on his own minutes later.

PELHAM BAY PARK, Bronx (WABC) -- A 7-year-old boy was saved after nearly drowning at a New York City beach Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at Orchard Beach in the Bronx.

According to the NYPD, the boy was not breathing when he was pulled from the water, but he was quickly revived and breathing on his own minutes later.

The boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
