Accident in Bath Beach, Brooklyn leaves pedestrian critically injured

BATH BEACH (WABC) -- A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car in Brooklyn Sunday morning.

The victim, a man in his 20's, was hit at about 6:35 a.m. while attempting to cross Bay Parkway at Bath Avenue in the Bath Beach section.

He suffered a severe head injury and was taken in critical condition to Lutheran Medical Center.

Police say the driver remained at the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
