Aircraft cleaner at JFK accused of stealing nearly 1,500 mini bottles of liquor

QUEENS (WABC) -- An aircraft cleaner at Kennedy Airport was arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of tiny bottles of liquor from airplanes she was cleaning.

Juanette Cullum, 48, of Brooklyn, is accused of stealing mini bottles and other miscellaneous items over a three year period.

Police received a tip about the incident and visited the suspect's home, where she allegedly admitted to the theft.

Two laptops, 7 iPads, and 19 Kindle tablets were also retrieved along with nearly 1,500 bottles.

The value of stolen items recovered is in excess of $15,000.

Cullum is employed by Air Service Cleaning at John F. Kennedy Airport is responsible for cleaning American Airlines airplanes in Terminal 8.

Cullum has been charged with third degree grand larceny and third degree criminal possession of stolen property. If convicted, she faces up to seven years in prison.
