LYNDHURST, New Jersey -- An ambulance was involved in an accident in Lyndhurst, New Jersey Monday afternoon.
Newscopter 7 was over the scene of the accident at the intersection of Ridge Road and 2nd Avenue.
The ambulance was on its side laying on another vehicle at the scene.
5 people were injured in the accident.
At least four cars were damaged in the accident.
According to police, the ambulance was headed up 2nd avenue on a call, got to the intersection with lights and sirens blaring, but was t-boned by a car with a 20-year-old driver.
One of the paramedics was pulled out of the window to be rescued.
There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the crash, only 2 working EMT's.
