At least 2 injured in Brooklyn crash
Jim Dolan reports a van may have been fleeing from police when it crashed in Marine Park.

MARINE PARK (WABC) -- At least two people were hurt Tuesday in a crash involving a driver trying to get away from police.

It happened at about 3 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue U and Stuart Street in Marine Park and involved a car and a van.

Police had been pursuing the van. They had tried to stop it, but the driver ran over an officer's foot.

Witnesses said the driver tried to flee after the crash, but was apprehended.

The extent of injuries is not yet known, but at least one of the victims was pinned inside their vehicle.

Police say at least two people were injured in the car and were taken to Kings County Hospital with unknown injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
