Benefit held to raise money for Holocaust survivors
Bill Ritter has the details.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter emceed a benefit for holocaust survivors Monday night.

Tens of thousands of survivors are living in the New York area, but a third of them are living in poverty.

At the main New York Library in Midtown, there was benefit by "The Blue Card" to raise money for them.

Actor Michael Douglas was there to introduce Elie Wiesel at the event, a holocaust survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner.

The group has raised more than $30 million over the years to help survivors living in poverty.
