Police: Burglars drilled through floor to enter Manhattan bank in unsuccessful attempt to get cash from ATMs

GRAMERCY, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police released photos of three men they say broke into a bank in the Gramercy section of Manhattan and tried to steal cash from ATMs over the weekend.

The incident happened Saturday just after 2:30 a.m. at the Citibank on Park Avenue South.

New York City police said the men entered the basement of a building on 25th Street, and then drilled through the ceiling to enter the bank located on Park Avenue South.

According to police, the men then cut into the ATMs inside the bank, but were not successful in getting cash from the machines.

The burglars then left the bank.
