Candlelight vigil held for Bronx father missing 2 weeks

SOUNDVIEW, Bronx (WABC) -- A family in the Bronx is hoping their prayers will be answered and a missing loved one will be found.

A candlelight vigil was held Saturday night for 34-year-old Javier Horta.

Family and friends gathered at the spot on Noble Avenue in Soundview where he was last seen two weeks ago.

Horta is the father of a 3-year-old girl.

He worked as a librarian assistant at the New York Public Library's Jerome Park branch.

Horta was last seen wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt, a black hoodie and black sneakers.

His brother is urging anyone with information to call police.
