Explosion blows out back of home in Dix Hills; No injuries

DIX HILLS (WABC) -- Officials on Long Island are investigating an explosion and fire that blew out the back of a home.

The flames broke out at the home on Seaman Neck Road in Dix Hills around 9 a.m.

The Dix Hills Fire Department said there was an initial explosion in the house, followed by the fire.

Mutual aid was called in from three different departments, and the fire was under control in about an hour.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
