ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. (WABC) -- Jeff Mansilla was driving his livery cab with a fare on Interstate 80 in Saddle Brook. There are few details about what happened next during the June 12 incident.
But policesaid someone pulled up beside him and fired into the car, killing Mansilla.
His brother, James Mansilla, said very little about his brother's murder has come into focus yet, for police or the family.
"A car pulled beside him on Route 80 and fired three shots into his car," said Mansilla.
Jeff Mansilla, 39, of Rochelle Park, was engaged to be married in August and just starting a business as a livery cab driver.
"He was persistent. He seemed like he was finally getting to where he wanted to go," said his brother. "The business was starting to blossom."
His family does not believe Jeff Mansilla was involved in something that resulted in his murder.
"Oh, my goodness, that really is unimaginable," said his brother.
The police have issued two press releases that give little information, and have asked for the public's help.
"Honestly, I really don't know. I don't know what to think. Unfortunately, your guess is as good as mine," said Mansilla.
Police continue to investigate but have made no arrests.
