Fire burns at Town of Babylon recycling facility

BABYLON, Long Island (WABC) -- A massive fire at the Town of Babylon recycling facility is finally out after burning for hours.

The fire broke out on Friday at 3:40 at the center on Field Street.

Large plumes of smoke could be seen from Nassau and Suffolk counties, and even the Bronx.

The firefighters on the scene are having a hard time gaining the upper hand on the blaze.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
