Gas station clerk turns tables and fights back during armed robbery

HOLLYWOOD, Florida (WABC) -- A robber in Florida got more than he bargained for from a gas station clerk during an armed robbery.

Surveillance video just released shows the robber punching and beating the clerk repeatedly with a metal pipe during the incident in October.

But then the worker grabbed the pipe away and fought back.

The clerk has since recovered.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
