Long Island woman accused of driving high on drugs

ROCKY POINT, N.Y. -- Police say a Long Island was high on drugs when she drove into two cars and the front porch of a house.

There were no serious injuries. It happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday in Rocky Point.

Aura Dimon, of Southampton, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and DWI drugs.

Police say Dimon was stopped at a red light on Route 25A in Rocky Point when she reversed her Jeep and slammed into the car behind her. They say she then made a U-turn and crashed into the rear of the car she had just hit.

Police say she continued driving, crashing into another car, a tree, a flagpole and finally into the Rock Point Road house.

Newsday says the homeowner held the woman until police arrived.
