Man in car accused of exposing self to teen girl on Long Island

SELDEN (WABC) -- A man was arrested Friday and was accused of exposing himself to a teenager who was walking along a road on Long Island.

According to the Suffolk County Police, Arshad Syed Humzah was driving a 2010 Nissan northbound on Boyle Road at Strauss Avenue in Selden on Friday afternoon when he approached a 15-year-old girl walking along the roadway.

Police said in a news release that around 5 p.m., Syed Humzah asked the girl if she needed a ride. When she said no, he followed her in his car, then asked her for directions.

She approached him, and police said Syed Humzah exposed himself to her.

The girl reported his license plate to her parents who called police, and Syed Humzah was arrested a short time later.

He has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
