Man dies after struck by NJ Transit train in Millburn; Morris/Essex line delayed 45 minutes

MILLBURN, N.J. (WABC) -- A man was struck and killed by a train in Essex County Friday morning, causing delays on a New Jersey Transit line.

The incident happened on the Morris/Essex line at about 8:30 a.m. near Douglas Street in Millburn.

According to the NJ Transit, there were about 100 passengers on the train as the time. They've since been transferred to another train.

Delays of up to 45 minutes should be expected on the Morris/Essex line while the police department investigates.
