Victim identified in ATV crash in the Bronx

NORTH RIVERDALE (WABC) -- A man died driving an all-terrain vehicle on the streets of the Bronx.

The ATV was hit on Broadway near 259th Street in North Riverdale about 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the ATV was going around an SUV as it was turning left into a parking garage. The ATV then hit a parked SUV before coming to rest against a light pole. One eyewitness says a police patrol car was involved.

Police have identified the victim as 31-year old Anthony Perez of Yonkers. He suffered severe body trauma and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

All-terrain vehicles are illegal on New York City streets.
