Brighton Beach stabbing leaves 1 dead; 2 in custody

BRIGHTON BEACH (WABC) -- A man was found stabbed to death on a street in Brooklyn early Friday.

The man was found unconscious and unresponsive, with an apparent stab wound to the torso, at the intersection of Brighton 4th Street and Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach just after 2:15 a.m.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

An NYPD anti-crime unit that was nearby quickly took two men into custody.

No charges were immediately filed, and the motive for the murder is not known.

The investigation is ongoing.
