FORDHAM, N.Y. (WABC) -- Neighbors couldn't miss the shrieks of terror coming from an apartment in the Fordham section of the Bronx on Friday evening.

A man tied up a woman inside her apartment, then ransacked the home.

Witnesses say the suspect, 29-year-old Bruce Lee was caught on surveillance video entering the building. The 23-year-old victim says the Brooklyn man followed her into her building, bound her hands and feet and stole her money, jewelry and cell phone.

As the suspect tried to get away, the victim's neighbors managed to stop him, using a board and strength in numbers to hold him down until police arrived.

The building's super said she took the duct tape off the victim's arms.

The suspect was found to be in possession of an imitation pistol, and is facing numerous charges such as Robbery, Burglary and Grand Larceny.
