NYPD: Woman, 22, sexually assaulted in Central Park

NEW YORK -- Police say a woman was sexually assaulted in Central Park.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The NYPD says the 22-year-old woman was near West Drive when a man sexually abused her. Police say the woman had "befriended" her attacker earlier in the day.

The man was last seen running through the park.

Investigators say the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
