Police arrest man accused of stealing pocketbooks from parked cars

MANORVILLE (WABC) -- Police arrested a man who is accused of breaking into several parked cars in Suffolk County.

Police say 27-year-old Andre Berube stole pocketbooks from at least six vehicles.

Detectives say he targeted cars parked at Horse Farms in Manorville and Southampton. He then allegedly used the stolen credit cards to make purchases in the area.

Berube will be arraigned on grand larceny charges on Monday.
