Police search for Brooklyn rape suspect
Police released surveillance video of a suspect wanted for rape in Brooklyn.

CANARSIE (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn are trying to track down a suspect wanted for rape.

The man is being sought for two separate incidents in Canarsie.

On August 30th, just after midnight, police say he approached a 19 year-old woman walking southbound on Rockaway Parkway and stated he had a firearm.

According to the NYPD, he pulled the woman into the rear of 1911 Rockaway Parkway and raped her. The suspect fled northbound on Rockaway Parkway. The victim was transported by EMS to Kings County Hospital where she was treated and released.

In the second incident on September 7th, police say a 29 year-old female, was walking in the vicinity of East 98 Street and Conklin Avenue when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her by the arm and stated that he had a gun.

The suspect forced the victim into a nearby parking lot where he attempted to rape her, investigators say. The victim resisted and the suspect fled the location on a bicycle.

The suspect was wearing a bandana bearing Grenada's flag over his face during the incident.

He is described as medium complexion, 5"6', approximately 135 lbs, wearing blue and white Hawaiian shorts, and a white tank top.
