OCEAN TOWNSHIP (WABC) -- Police are searching for a possible sexual predator along the Jersey Shore, and they are hoping a sketch will lead to an arrest.

Authorities say the suspect is wanted for trying to lure two boys into a white passenger van.

The incident happened last Thursday night along West Park Avenue and Whalepond Road in Ocean Township.

According to investigators, the man yelled at the 11- and 12-year-old boys to come over to his van. They ran off and told their parents.

The driver is described as a white male, about 40 years old and balding with a small strand of hair on the side of his head. He had a light beard described as scruffy.

The van was a white passenger van with regular sized front driver and passenger windows. There were also smaller tinted windows that went along the side of the van.

The victims reported seeing a small amount of rust on the rear driver side and middle portion of the van. The van was last seen driving southbound on Whalepond Road.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Bryan Morgan at 732-531-1800.
