Jewelry burglar takes $100,000-plus in goods from Brooklyn apartment: police

GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are looking for the man responsible for making off with more than $100,000 in jewelry from a Brooklyn apartment.

Around 12:30 a.m. April 2, a man broke a kitchen window to get inside an apartment at 28th and Harway avenues, according to the New York City Police Department.

He took a Panarai watch valued at $10,500, a Breitling Super Avenger watch valued at $6,500, a Rolex Datejust valued at $28,000, and a necklace with a cross valued at $12,000, among other items, police said.

The suspect left with the items in a white bag.

The victim was not home at the time, but when he returned hours later, he reported the incident.
