Police searching for careless smoker believed to be responsible for Staten Island fire

STATEN ISLAND (WABC) -- Police are searching for a careless smoker who they believe caused a damaging fire on Staten Island.

The man carelessly plucked a cigarette from his mouth and threw it on the ground. The building on Bay Street, home to the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce went up in flames.

No one was injured, but the fire caused significant damage.
