UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- The power went out late Saturday morning at an Upper West Side hotel, causing some to be evacuated.

According to the New York City Fire Department, firefighters responded to a power outage at the Empire Hotel just before noon, and helped evacuate the elderly and others in need.

Water to some floors may also have been affected.

Some hotel guests said they experienced some power outages and problems with the water starting late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

One witness said guests leaving the hotel's rooftop bar late Friday had to walk downstairs because elevators weren't working.

The Empire is at 44 W. 63rd St.

No injures were reported during the outage.
