COLLEGE POINT (WABC) -- Police are looking for someone behind a series of 24 bizarre burglaries since March in the College Point section of Queens.

The man is suspected of stealing everything from makeup to jewelry and $3,000 worth of copper pipes.

Police say the suspect has used force to enter front and back doors, as well as windows. The incidents have taken place at all hours of the day and night.

In the first incident, around 10 a.m. March 4 at a home near 14th Road and 112th Street, someone entered through a rear sliding door and took jewelry, handbags and makeup remover.

Police said the suspect is an Asian man, 25-40 years old and 170 to 180 pounds, who was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with a zipper in the front, blue jeans and blue sneakers.

No one has been injured so far, but people who reside in the places where the patterns have been concentrated fear someone will get hurt when there is a confrontation.

Anyone with information about the case should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
