NEW YORK (WABC) -- An off-duty NYPD officer is in a medically-induced coma after getting punched on a Manhattan subway platform, and police are on the hunt for his attacker.
The assault happened at 9:30 p.m. Saturday on the southbound 6 train platform at 23rd Street and Park Avenue.
The 29-year-old officer was punched in the head. He fell and struck his head on the platform and has bleeding on the brain.
His attacker is described as 5'9" and 200 pounds, and was with two females.
