Several people get stuck on amusement ride for 2 hours

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASS. -- An amusement park ride stopped suddenly in Massachusetts leaving riders stranded.

The "Wipe-Out" stalled mid-ride at "The Big E" state fair in West Springfield last night.

Several people were stuck for about two hours.

Crews were able to get everybody off the ride and safely back on the ground.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

There is no word on what caused the ride to malfunction.
