Simone Biles responds to negative comments about music video, Christine Dobbyn reports.

A new music video by Jake Miller starring Spring's own Simone Biles seems to have brought out the worst in people.

The singer debuted his music video "Overnight" and the negative comments, mostly race-related have poured in.

"Maybe we can fix it overnight?" Miller serenades Biles in the music video.

After its release, the Olympic gold medalist was the target of negative comments posted on Miller's official YouTube page. The negativity was centered around Biles, an African-American female, appearing in the video to be in a relationship with Miller, who is white.

Biles responded to the negative comments with a tweet: "Everyone forgets that I have feelings also."

Radio personality Ayana Mack follows social media and is a big fan of Biles. She watched the video and responded to those who attacked the gymnast.

"When she was in Brazil they talked about her hair, they talked about her appearance. To me I see a beautiful young lady who is so talented and has the world at her fingertips. I really hate that people, you know, are you so unhappy that you have to dig and find mean things to say about somebody. I really think it's unfortunate but she's kicking down doors and breaking glass ceilings," Mack said.

Biles' father told Eyewitness News that he was talking to Simone and others before making a comment.
