Skydiver freed after getting stuck in tree in North Carolina

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. -- A skydiver was stuck 65 feet up a tree on Turf Farm Lane off of Peach Orchard Road in Franklin County Wednesday night.

The Louisburg Fire Department was able to free the skydiver, who was hanging by his parachute, around 9 p.m. after he was stuck for about an hour.

The skydiver was not seriously injured. He complained of his shoulder hurting, and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Officials told ABC11 that the skydiver came from nearby Rampart Aviation off of N.C. Highway 56, which is outside of Louisburg.
