KENSINGTON (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn say a man was fatally stabbed by his son inside his home Saturday night.

19-year old Hassan Razzaq was arraigned Sunday night and is being held without bail. He is charged with 2nd degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities discovered the body of 56-year old Mohammad Razzaq in his home on East 3rd Street in Kensington at about 10 p.m.

He had been stabbed in the neck.

Police tracked down his son a short time later at a nearby deli.

A worker called police after the son apparently had explained the details of what had happened.

Workers say the son was asking for paper towels to wipe blood off his hands.

Police say a knife was recovered at the scene.

Neighbors say Mohammad Razzaq had a history of being abusive toward his family.

Neighbors told police they heard what sounded like an argument inside the home, then heard what sounded like a struggle and saw Hassan Razzaq run from the home.
