Staten Island smash-and-grab burglary suspects caught on camera

PORT RICHMOND (WABC) -- Police are hunting for two burglars who were caught on camera smashing their way into a pawn shop on Staten Island.

The video shows the two men using a brick to break the front window of the Casa de Empenzo pawn shop on Port Richmond Avenue in Port Richmond around 12:30 a.m. on July 31.

Once inside, the suspects broke the display cases and removed cell phones and jewelry.

They then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests were immediately made.
