GARFIELD (WABC) -- A suspect in the New Jersey mall parking lot shooting that left an undercover detective hurt will be in court Monday on attempted murder charges.

Raphael Vasquez was also injured during the shootout last week in Garfield.

Police say Vasquez shot an undercover detective during an apparent robbery in the midst of a drug operation. He was then shot and wounded by another officer.

Vasquez is being held on $2 million bail.

Two other suspects, Melvin Guzman and Patrick Morel, appeared in court previously, pleaded not guilty and are being held with bail set at $750,000 for each.

Vasquez faces charges of first-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted robbery, second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
