BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police in Connecticut are searching for a 36-year-old man after a woman was killed in her home.

Patrick Miles remains at large after an Amber Alert was canceled Saturday for his 2-year-old daughter, who was found safe in Brooklyn.

Paisley Miles, of New Britain, Conn., was found by the NYPD after an Amber Alert was issued for her Saturday at 3:55 a.m.

Connecticut State Police had been looking for Paisley as well as Patrick Miles.

The New Britain Police Department confirmed that a woman found dead in the family home was the child's mother.

Paisley was taken by her father and they were possibly heading for Brooklyn, the alert said.

Police said the child's father safely handed her over to relatives living at a Bedford-Stuyvesant address. He is still at large.

Paisley was brought to the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for a routine examination.

Police said Miles is believed to be driving a gray Chevy Malibu.
