Suspect wanted in sex abuse of little girl in Manhattan

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A suspect is wanted for allegedly sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in Manhattan.

It happened on Saturday, June 3rd at 7:40 p.m. inside a building courtyard on Essex Street near Broome Street.

Police say the man went up to the little girl and tried to talk to her. He then grabbed her private area over her clothing and ran away.

The suspect is described as 5'8" tall, 130 to 150 lbs., 20-30 years old, and wearing a blue baseball cap, sunglasses, a wrist watch and a white t-shirt.
