Police release photo of man wanted in taco truck robbery
Jim Dolan reports from the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE (WABC) -- He didn't want a taco, he wanted their money. It's not your typically robbery. A thief held up a taco food truck at gunpoint on the Upper West Side.

Police say they have a clear surveillance photo of the man they're looking for.

For 24 years they have been serving up authentic Mexican food from the Super Tacos Truck parked right outside the grocery store at 96th and Broadway. They had never been robbed until last Wednesday.

"He had a gun and he told everyone to get down on the floor," said Cleotilde Rosendo, the Super Tacos Truck owner. "He wanted all our money."

The man police say robbed the truck that night was captured on surveillance at the subway station he ducked into after the robbery.

The picture is pretty clear, and they're hoping someone who recognizes him will call police. Police want to remind people he is armed. They don't have to remind Ms. Rosendo.

"He got the money from the register," she said, "but there wasn't very much there and he was very angry. He kept saying 'this is all the money', and we said 'there weren't many sales today'. We were afraid."
