BLOOMFIELD, N.J. (WABC) -- A brazen thief stole a donation jar in New Jersey.

It happened Sunday at the Hot Bagels Abroad shop in Bloomfield.

While checking out, the suspect put her jacket over the jar which had about $300 in it.

The money was being raised for 13-year-old Michelle Albanese who suffers from a neurological disorder called Rett Syndrome that usually strikes girls.

"You know I trust people until they give me a reason not to. I have great customers and I really haven't had an incident like this, so it takes a little bit out of you and I want to catch this person," said Frank Grauso, the owner.

Police believe the same woman stole a tip jar last week from a Chinese restaurant in Union
