Train selfie kills three college students in India

Three Indian college students were killed by a speeding train while attempting to take a selfie on the train's tracks.

According to The Times of India, the accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Monday on the railway tracks of Mathura, near Kosikala outside of New Delhi, India. The students, identified as Yakub, Iqbal and Afzal, all between the ages of 20 and 22, told police they were on their way to see the Taj Mahal on Republic Day and had stopped the car they were traveling in attempt to take a daredevil selfie on the tracks.

Aneesh, one of the college students who survived the accident, told police that the timing went horribly wrong as a speeding train knocked them down, killing them on the spot before they could jump off. According to The Times of India, police have sent the bodies for autopsy.
