Truck ends up in water, damages dock off Center Moriches

CENTER MORICHES, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police needed a heavy duty wrecker to pull out a pickup truck that went into the water on Long Island.

Eyewitnesses said a truck was driven off the end of the dock at Union Avenue in Center Moriches. The truck damaged part of the dock when it went in.

Divers searched the water for the driver but police sid they found him at home, still dripping wet.

The man denies driving the truck and police say nobody can identify him as the driver.

Police called in divers to search for the driver, but officials found the driver at home, reportedly still wet from the experience.

The man reportedly denies driving the vehicle. No one has been charged in the incident.

A heavy duty wrecker was called in to remove the vehicle.
