Dozens of school buses vandalized on Long Island

NESCONSET, Long Island (WABC) -- Police are looking for the person or people behind the vandalism of dozens of school buses on Long Island.

About 30 school buses parked at 70 Southern Blvd., just off the Nesconset-Port Jefferson Highway in Nesconset, were damaged sometime between March 16 and March 30.

Fire extinguishers were sprayed inside the buses and windows were broken. The cost of the damage exceeds $50,000.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
