Lake Ronkonkoma Cemetery damaged, flags stolen

LAKE GROVE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Suffolk County police are looking for suspects who vandalized a cemetery near Lake Ronkonkoma.

Someone damaged property and stole flags from Civil War graves at a cemetery in Lake Grove this month.

Between Oct. 10 and Oct. 13, someone took two American flags, damaged a gravestone, and moved two flower wreaths off their intended graves at the Lake Ronkonkoma Cemetery.

The Suffolk County Police Department is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the case, is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
