HAWTHORNE (WABC) -- In New Jersey Thursday evening, a community came together after a dramatic death in a public space.

People gathered at the site of the Hawthorne Farmers Market, where on Saturday one person was killed and two were hurt when a pickup truck crashed through a barricade.

58-year-old Donna Wine was dragged and then died.

Hawthorne's mayor said many people feel like it could have been them.

The mayor said the market is moving to a nearby parking lot so regular shoppers don't have to relive their memories of the crash.
